An opportunity to create ceramic shell molds up to approx. 15 lbs. in preparation for the International Conference on Cast Iron Art. The instructors will give guidance and support in spruing and venting, shell preparation, reinforcement, burnout, and casting readiness. Please bring finished waxes or patterns to the workshop along with personal safety equipment such as particulate masks or respirators, safety galsses, latex gloves, aprons and work clothes. The workshop will take place on-site at the casting shed, and is open to beginners as well as experienced foundry artists.
10 places only. 50 pounds sterling per shell.
